With an average altitude of 3800m, the trek offers enchanting meadows adorned with wild alpine flowers, birch trees, and the ubiquitous presence of roses and juniper trees.
As we venture through the trek, we have the opportunity to witness the summer lifestyle of the Wakhi people as they migrate to the high pastures to graze their cattle and yaks. Our journey begins in Islamabad, the modern capital of Pakistan, and we embark on the Karakoram Highway, a testament to human engineering marvel, offering awe-inspiring vistas of Rakaposhi, Diran Peak, Shishpar Peak (7611 meters), Ultar Peak (7388 meters), Passu Peak (7478 meters), Karon Koh (7200 meters), and the mighty Batura massive (7500-7785 meters) – a congregation of Karakoram giants.
